ISKL Invitational Tournament U16

ISKL are well-known in South East Asia as one of the strongest schools for both Rugby and Touch. On Friday night, Marlborough arrived at ISKL for some friendly matches ahead of the Saturday tournament. In two gutsy performances both teams beat formidable ISKL teams, setting themselves up for a good day on Saturday.

On Saturday, the U16 team went unbeaten through their first three games, beating ISKL and KL Saracens and drawing with SMSS. Their most impressive win of the day was a 29-12 score over ISKL, where the team played with speed, precision and power. This set them up for a final against SMSS, which they lost despite a strong performance.

The U16 Touch team won three out of their five games on Saturday, placing 3rd overall. They had two very impressive wins over a strong Alice Smith side and an 8-1 win over Garden International School. Throughout the day the team played some enterprising Touch and they thoroughly deserved the success they enjoyed.
