The Ball was a rousing success, evident by the faces of the guests at the end of the night. We started with photo-taking outside, against an ‘Oscars’ backdrop; thankfully the rain stopped moments before our start, and we then proceeded to an appetizer of a salad, followed by chicken roulade as our main and ending with a delicious chocolate mousse.
Our meal was made more enjoyable by performances from Dr T & Mrs Inskip, solos from Jade Singh-Hauville and Adrianna, Adam Malik and the Sixth Form band consisting of James Gibson, Hani Aswandi, Joanne Kim, Sung Yoon Choi and Roisin Sugrue. There was also a raffle for three Starbucks gift cards and some chocolate which brought out the greatest responses of the night.
The meal was brought to a close with a robust and engaging award ceremony for the various superlatives that attendees voted for the week earlier, categories ranged from Most Likely to Be a Billionaire to Cutest Couple or Most Likely to Star in a Reality Show.
It was finally time to bust out our dance moves as we cleared the dance floor for what could only be described as a jaw-dropping performance and medley. We all danced the night away to tunes ranging from modern mumble rap, to old school favorites like Africa by ToTo. The night was brought to a close by a deafening rendition of Mr Brightside as per tradition.
