The evening of Thursday, 7th June, saw performers take to the Wykeham Hall stage for the last Prep School recital of the academic year. Both the Chamber and Pre-Prep choirs also performed, the former having just returned from a successful performance tour in Hong Kong. The Pre-Prep choir capped off a very busy inaugural year of performances, and presented two pieces which they have been rehearsing throughout the Summer term.
Turning our attention to the evening’s soloists, audiences were treated to performers across different instrumental disciplines including Jerry Li (8RJ), who wowed audiences with her virtuosic passages on the piano and Dominic Ho (8HM), who demonstrated remarkable dexterity and accuracy on the glockenspiel.
Two pupils also presented original work written by themselves – a remarkable accomplishment indeed. One of these was Jazlynn Aspin (8RJ), one of our Trinity Speech & Drama pupils, who performed a monologue inspired by the post-apocalyptic genre, exploring what could happen in the future if humanity met with a cataclysmic event.
Well done to our ensembles and performers for this recital, and thanks also to our ever-supportive parents.
