Invitational Tournament May 2016

On Saturday 21st May 2016 Marlborough College Malaysia hosted its second Invitational Tournament. The relationship between British International Schools is growing stronger and this was the third tournament this year. In November Dulwich (Singapore) hosted, Epsom had the honour during the Easter term and Marlborough finished the year with six different competitions running.

We were thrilled to welcome Wellington (Shanghai) to our competition, and after travelling, their performances did not disappoint. Making full use of the College’s extensive facilities, matches ran throughout the morning and, following lunch in the dining hall, play continued into the afternoon.

It was a wonderful day building relationships with other schools across Asia; all the teams involved played a wonderful standard of sport, with amazing team spirit. Spectators created a brilliant atmosphere and teams put in so much effort to every game.

The U15 Girls represented Marlborough College Malaysia for their first match of Lacrosse in Southeast Asia and proudly demonstrated their commitment to this sport. The vast number of triumphs at all age groups meant that Marlborough will hold the shield for the year and it is proof that sport at the College is continuing to develop.
