The third and final House Matches of the year were another great success. All teams were out representing their Houses in a friendly but also competitive nature.
British sports being played in beautiful sunshine is a real treat and the standard of sport made it even sweeter. The accuracy of shooting in both netball and football brought in excited supporters, the rugby matches (both contact and touch) were only won and lost by a few points. And it is always brilliant seeing young pupils learning the rules of cricket.
The pupils were able to show their parents what they have learnt and, from where I was observing, all the parents looked extremely proud.

The Senior Division Competitions are a chance for so many of our pupils to experience the joys of team sport and all the benefits that they offer. They have been eagerly anticipated events in each of the sporting seasons that span the academic year. This one had an extra edge, as it was the last one before the change over to House Sport Competitions next year. The event started well with closely fought matches across each competition and some exceptional play. However, mid-way through the afternoon the weather rolled in to put a stop to proceedings and a dampener on everyones spirits. Each competition will continue through the week in Games to ensure that the events reach their conclusion and the victors are crowned.
