Visit by Her Excellency, Vicki Treadell

Sixth Form University and Careers Fair – 25th and 26th February 2015

On Friday 26th February, Marlborough College Malaysia hosted Her Excellency, Vicki Treadell, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, for the annual Sixth Form University and Careers Fair. Our Sixth Form pupils were invited to hear Her Excellency talk about the importance of aiming high in their education and future careers, and to break down traditional barriers by speaking to and learning from those who inspired them.

As part of the University and Careers Fair, the College invited sixteen speakers from a variety of professions, from Medicine and Law, to Business and Media. The Sixth Form pupils had the opportunity to see eight career professionals of their choice, to gain an insight into the profession and to ask any questions. Our pupils responded extremely positively to this event, and felt that they gained an insight into a professional life after Marlborough College Malaysia.

The University fair on Thursday 25th February was an excellent opportunity for pupils to speak to a number of representatives from various British universities in person, and to look at courses that may be of interest and to ask questions about university life. Marlborough College Malaysia aims to help and inspire our pupils to discover their passions, through education which will help them recognise their talents, and to direct them on the right professional career path for them.

Thank you to all the contributors, particularly parents, friends, members of Council and local partners.
