On Sunday 13th December, Common Room, parents, pupils and friends filled the Dining Hall for the College Carol Service. Before the celebration started we were treated to some beautiful music from the Wind Band, the String Quartet and the Choirs. The Master welcomed the congregation and explained the origin of the service of lessons and carols which dates back to 1880 before the singing of Once in Royal David’s City.
Many thanks to Mr Watkins, Mr Ang and Mr Monk for all their excellent work with the Chamber Choir, the College Choir, the Treble Choir and the various musical groups who accompanied the singing. Special mention should go to the College pupils who prepared meticulously and performed the readings.
Despite the rain, refreshments were served outside on Court after the service and were greatly enjoyed by all present.
