‘IN’ Art Exhibition Australian High Commission Singapore

International, involved and inspired

4th November 2015 – 8th January 2016

‘International, involved and inspired’, the aim of the exhibition is to showcase and share the incredible work created by pupils. This year MCM was invited to showcase artwork at the high profile ‘IN’ exhibition at the Australian High Commission in Singapore. This is the fifth year of the exhibition, and as many as 140 young artists took part from fourteen different International schools.

Ten pupils represented MCM and exhibited artwork: Josh Bickford, Hilma Nurmi, Laura Connolly, Qamarina Azman, Kah Ling Kong, Cha Yeong Lee, Sonja Mason, Alia Yazid, India Iles, and Dania Azidi. ‘IN’ opened on Wednesday 4th November with a grand reception of nearly 400 guests. All our artists attended the opening night, along with parents who were able to come and support the event, some even travelling from Vietnam. Mr and Mrs McVeigh and other staff from MCM travelled across the border to support the event.

Cha Yeong deserves a special mention as she stepped up to play the grand piano during the opening.

The exhibition gave our young artists a sense of what it feels like to be showcased in an exhibition on as a big a scale as this. It was definitely an event to remember with, we hope, more to follow soon.

The exhibition will continue into December and can be visited during the opening hours of the High Commission, Monday to Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm.

Work from the exhibition can be seen here
