Hundred and Lower Sixth Careers Fair

On Friday 27th February, Marlborough College Malaysia held its second Careers Fair for pupils in Hundred and Lower Sixth. A number of parents, Old Marlburians and professionals from the area visited to speak to the pupils and to field questions about their chosen career path. The pupils left the discussions feeling inspired and more aware of the broad landscape of possible careers.

Mrs Thorpe presented on the TV Broadcasting industry, Mr Lee explained why he became a designer and what motivated him, Mr Browne described his Biological academic research projects and Commander Andy Lamb took a number of boys and girls through the British Navy selection process. In total we had seventeen different speakers covering many varied career areas, including Aviation, Education, Engineering, Finance and Information Technology. We are grateful to all the speakers for sharing their experiences and giving their time and enthusiasm.

The afternoon was a great success – the pupils were buzzing with ideas, armed with new knowledge and fresh perspectives.
