Pupils’ Outstanding Achievements Recognised
Cambridge International Examinations hosted an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards ceremony in the Vintage Ballroom, Holiday Villa Hotel and Suites, Subang Jaya, KL on Thursday 27 November 2014.
A representative of Malaysian Deputy Minister of Education One presented certificates and prizes to pupils winning Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for achievement of top and high grades in Cambridge IGCSE Examinations in June 2014 in Malaysia. In the ceremony, two Marlborough College Malaysia pupils were recognised for high achievement. Li Zhe (Richard) Lai received an award of First Language Chinese Top Achiever in the whole of Malaysia, and Yuka Okamura, was awarded for First Language Japanese High Achievement.
Mr Ng Kim Hua, Senior Schools Development Manager, Malaysia, Cambridge International Examinations, recognised new international schools, including Marlborough College Malaysia, for pupils having achieved excellent results in these examinations. In addition, the pupils’ success was extremely impressive. Last year more than one million pupils sat Cambridge examinations in more than 10,000 schools in countries around the world, including United Kingdom, United States, China, India, and Singapore, as well as throughout Europe, South America and the Middle East.
Also, Hia Sin Che was presented an award for Top Achiever in Accounting. She was registered by Austin Heights International School but is now studying at Marlborough College Malaysia.
