On Friday 19th September at 2.00pm Iskandar and Taylor set off for a weekend of fun and adventure. Spirits on the bus were high and singing commenced. We were not disappointed when we arrived two hours later. The pool was great and we could see the sea. First we went to our rooms to organise our things and get into swimming costumes. Then we had some chill out time in the pool, playing football and touch rugby. After a beach walk we had supper and off to bed. The next day began with a great breakfast and the anticipation of different climbing activities. The climbing wall proved a challenge to some and the abseiling activity was definitely for the fearless. After snacks, 100 plus, lunch, ice creams and a rest the afternoon activities began with the zip wire! It was great to see all the children supporting each other and many surprised themselves with what they achieved. The day was rounded off with more pool, beaching, shell and animal collecting. After supper we had an enormous campfire and ate marsh mellows.
We left on Sunday lunchtime. Many children really enjoyed getting to know each other out of school. The location was perfect with enough to do during free time to keep everyone amused. We will definitely be going back! Many thanks to Miss Nixon, Mr Thistlethwayte and Mr Hobby for their help, water polo, rugby and football expertise.
