Friday 25th April was a landmark occasion for Friends – the first social event held in Singapore. The scene was set: tables were laid, napkins crisply folded and waiters at the ready, in the iconic “Elizabeth Suite” at the British Club. All appropriately “British” including the stragglers from the downstairs pub at the British Club vocally jovial as they sauntered up the stairs just in time for the 8pm kick-off for an evening of wine, wit and wisdom (arguable).
No participants will ever forget the colour of postboxes or the order of the colours of the Russian flag as these were without doubt two of the most discussed, contemplated, altered and altered again answers of the evening.
It was a very closely fought night with six teams tying in bottom place and only five points separating all the teams, however there had to be a winner and “The Far Easters” took home the prize bags provided by AAM Advisory. No Quiz Night would be complete without the wooden spoon, which was graciously received by “Here for The Curry”
Once again a successful, fun evening; many thanks to all those who supported Friends of MCM by attending.
