A Special Diwali Assembly

A local Tamil School, SJK (T) Kangkar Pulai, came to visit the Preparatory School on Friday 8th November and we hosted a special Diwali Assembly. The MCM children showed the lovely work that they had produced whilst learning about Diwali. They all spoke beautifully and proudly showed their work to the rest of the school. We saw clay diva lamps, Rangoli patterns, poems, coconut ladoo sweets, Diwali footprints, presentations about Diwali and much, much more. Later in the Assembly our visiting school performed two very special Diwali dances, as the MCM children watched on in amazement. After the Assembly the Year 4 children, helped by their new friends, took part in a Rangoli pattern making activity using colourful rice. The visiting school joined us for lunch and then playtime. Everyone enjoyed the event very much and we look forward to inviting SJK (T) Kangkar Pulai back soon.
