Rugby U14 v SMK Kangkar Pulai and Bandar Baru

The U14 Rugby side played against the SMK Kangkar Pulai and Bandar Baru in a game that was split across three thirds. Marlborough came out convincing winners at the end of the game with a score line of 31 – 5. Although this was a good victory it was the performance that underpinned the victory which was most pleasing. The main target over the course of the game was to improve our defensive structure, allowing the team to still gain territory even without the ball. By the end of the final third it had become very clear that the defensive structure had improved and, as a result, there were no tries conceded in this third and the opposition found it extremely hard to build anything in attack. All in all it was a quality performance from the U14 side which is looking to build on this performance with an eye on the U14A ACSIS League which runs for the next 6 weeks.
